  1. I have both an Apostle and a Prophet preach at my Church.Neither advertise nor claim the fact.Truth is, both of them would scorn me for suggesting they hold such office________________Charles A. HutchinsSenior Pastor SPWCCongregational Church of Godwww.spwc.church

  2. I have had and continue to do so. But, that said, these are men and women whose lives and ministries are above reproach and whose doctrine is on par for the most part with what is normally preached from my pulpit. I also see no scriptural basis that indicates the office of an apostle or prophet has ceased any more than the office of a pastor has ceased based on Eph.4:11.However, not every self-proclaimed prophet is one any more than self proclaimed pastors or in the vernacular that be most helpful for OTCP to unerrsand, not evry Dr is one.Frankly, none of the people I have minister are hung up on titles and neither am I. I am a pastor of a local church and many of my people call me pastor but some don’t. Immaterial to me. Our motto here is Towels, not Titles’. Your gift will make room for you. It is pretty obvious when a prophet is ministering in your midst and if you are an apostle thesigns of an apostle will be pretty evident. (2 Cor. 12:12)

  3. You’re exactly right, BJ. If the feller graduated last in his class, he still completed the program, graduated, an is a Dr.But this aint what we talkin bout. Some fellers who claim to be a Dr. aint. For example:1. Fellers with only honery doctorate.2. Fellers who went through some slipshod, two-bit, unaccredited (or claiming accreditation from some fly-by-night meaningless accreditor like ACI, TACI, et al).3. Fellers who paid $500 an was awarded a doctorate based on life-experience. You know, like, I been breathin in a parsonage for 30 years, so I deserve a doctorate based on life experience.Nope, BJ, numbers 1

  4. I’m with ya Cojak, not a pastor and wouldn’t let one come if I were. The one’s I’ve seen seem to be a bit flakey to me. I guess that is the Metho side of my costal coming out From what I’ve seen, they also seem to be WOF far too often. I would not purposely go see a prophet/apostle either. God would have to speak to be in an audible voice to do so. Not too much different from handling snakes, except with the snake,he would have to both speak and put it in my hands for me.

  5. NOT because they CALL themselves that, but because I felt they WERE an apostle or prophet.Consider that I have no problem being called a pastor. Some of you have no problem being called an evangelist. Or a teacher. But we get all nervous about prophet and apostle, even though they are every bit as Biblical! Why should we let the DEVIL (and by devil I’m including OTCP–SMILE) steal away our birthright in Christ? If God has set these in the church, then by all means we ought to EMBRACE it!There are plenty of fakers when it comes to healing…but are we going to stop preaching divine healing? No (unless, maybe, you are OTCP or other Word of Doubters).Plenty of fakers in speaking in tongues, but are we going to stop preaching and believing that? No!

  6. I’ve invited Apostles & Prophets minister in our church, but they weren’t the kind that bragged about it or had to have someone bring in their bible & weaponry so they could be important. Had my nuff of Bishops that demand position along with the others. But we certainly have enjoyed the sweetness and goodness of true brothers & sisters that have more authority in this world than the self renowned. Welp you found out how I feel now. lol________________
