I have always had a nagging thought about this subject. Were the wise virgins selfish, un Christian about not sharing their oil…..But I just read a Catholic writer who simply opened it for me, I am sure you all have known this but this hit me as a good statement: …….You cannot borrow faith, preparations, nor zeal and OR their love for God, their fruits of the Spirit. THEY WERE ALL VIRGINS!
I see the implication here that they were living right-up to a certain point. Then, they allowed things to come into their lives and steal their love for the master. Kinda like the church at Ephesus that Jesus rebuked because they left their 1st love. They had it and then left it________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”
