I’m not completely sure. I’ve heard some whacky Hebrew roots stuff. Some of it may be okay. Messianics are that way.One group of Hebrew roots people I encoutnered thought that the name of ‘Jesus’ comes from the Egyptian word Isis, are against using the word ‘Lord’ because it supposedly came from some pagan name. They were basing this on a really lousy book full of folk etymologies and bad linguistic. It was bad pseudo-scholarship.You could just go to a Pentecostal or Charismatic church that meets on Saturday and where they say ‘Yeshua’ instead of ‘Jesus.________________
There is some nut-case down in Mexico telling everybody unless they are rebaptized in the name of Yeshua, they will not be saved. Most of his converts come from churches who baptize in the name of JesuCristo. This is what happens when one thinks Acts 2:38and Matthew29:19 are teaching baptismal invocations for the one baptizing. Such nonsense________________
The group leader has a SDA background and the preaching/teaching seems to have an adventist slant. They were all computer literate (the Torah was on laptops) and the worship ensemble was pretty good singing COG songs from Hillsong. They followed the Hebrew liturgy in Gentile form________________
Maybe Charles will clarify for us, but I figured he meant a range of songs from COG songs to Hillsong numbers. (Otherwise, I couldn’t make any sense of it either.)
COG songs from Hillsong??? Sounds like the Hebraic Roots gang has done got Pastor Wright confused already. I was wondering about that too! ________________More of Him…less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name
