That doesn’t mean taking guns away from us or necessarily forbidding us to carry them. It SHOULD mean a waiting period…it should mean a thorough background check, ESPECIALLY for mental/emotional issues…. You get the idea.But red-meat, rabid NRA’ers think every single attempt to improve our world is a conspiracy. Yes, it’s the PERSON who shoots the gun. All the more reason to take greater care about who gets a gun.At the same time, it cannot be ignored that no one is killing people with mastadon tusks or nuclear blasts or mustard gas. That at least implies that if you don’t have that weapon available to you, you’ll not use it when you get really upset. I don’t know the full answer, but it’s clear that we don’t have the answer thus far. If everyone is armed…then the bad guys have arms also. If not one is allowed to be armed…the bad guys might still have guns.

I appreciate brother Charles Page for having this set as an open forum for everyone to be able to discuss topics an bible without tha fear of being kicked off because you disagree with some peoples.
I believe in every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, when it’s taken/understood in its proper context, and the Word of God is rightly divided with the entire volume of Scriptures (the whole Bible)! I also believe that in it’s original form it was inspired and perfect! I do not agree with some people’s interpretations of Scripture. Also, some fall into unbilical “error” by believing/using a translation of a verse that could be worded better/more accurately — thus, presenting God’s Truth, instead of a carnal mind’s view/opinion of it!
That would be Levi Chavis, yes it would.
Seems to always have his way of viewing things and is more than willing to avoid any other Scripturally based discussion on the point at hand.
I have learned a lot this week about a subject I thought I knew very well. A real thanks goes out to Levi Chavis for some scriptures he gave to he,p me down this path.
And to respond to Danny O. Pryor’s comment: who are you to say what verses are good or bad?? You are a man, just like me and Levi and Charles and just like everyone else in this world. Tha only standard for truth is God and his Word. It don’t need any further interpretations or adding to or taking away from it… as you call it “rightly dividing”.
God’s Word dont contradict itself, God is not tha author of confusion.
So if Jesus told the disciples to baptize in tha “NAME” of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… and they didn’t baptize in any other “NAME” than Jesus Christ… they done exactly what they was told to do.
If you dont think that true, you need to take it up with God, just as I did.
This is an open form and not just for people who hold the correct interpretation of scripture.
Sammy, as he made clear that he’s a follower of Levi Chavis’s teachings, gave us a clear example of one of the teachings he has accepted — that’s regarding Sammy’s little discourse about the “NAME” — thinking God the Father and God the Holy Ghost both are named “Jesus! We know that God the Son’s name is Jesus, but not the other two Divine Persons/Members of the Godhead! Therefore, Sammy has accepted doctrine that is consistent with Oneness/Jesus Only/United Pentecostal Church teachings — Biblically incorrect teachings! Sammy is an example of what could happen to other people in this forum — there is the spiritual danger of them also believing heretical doctrines! Charles, I think you should seriously/soberly consider this matter!
