Ted Cruz is an amazing person. He rose up from nowhere to serve as Attorney General of Texas. He served well and was elected to the U.S. Senate. While there, he was the only one who spoke openly against the Establishment in the presence of the Establishment. Takes a lot of guts to criticize powerful people while they are in the room. So Cruz did not back-bite them. He faced them.Because of that, it will be incredibly difficult for him to get their backing should he become President. Even some in his own party will do all possible to thwart his efforts to reform the government.Honestly, Trump is an unknown but one thing we know, is that nobody bullies the guy, and since he is self-funded, he is not beholden to anyone. He cannot be bought off. He is however now obligated to Chris Christie for endorsing him the day after he go slammed in the last debate. If I'm boarding a plane and someone says they know the pilot told a lie or that he has not revealed his taxes, my reply is, Can this guy fly this plane? Can he get me to where I need to go? They may say he is not a strict constitutionalist. That is important but the question remains, can he fly this plane? Our nation is broke and broken from a 21 Trillion Dollar Debt. I think Trump, more than any other candidate, has the clout to start getting that under control. I do believe he will stop other nations from taking advantage of our nation. If the country goes down, Trump has A LOT to lose. His family is here, much of his business is here. The guy sits at the top of a massive business empire that he built after a smaller start by his father.Do I particularly like some of his rhetoric? Sure don't. But I do like the hope he is already giving to a lot of people who feel totally betrayed by the Establishment. Can he actually win the nomination? That is going to be really tough with both the Demos and Repubs working against him. But he has a far better chance now than Rubio and Cruz. However, if it turns out that Cruz gets the nomination instead of Trump, I think Cruz would make a good President too. Rubio is the sharpest of them all, but he is now totally the Establishment candidate. If he wins, the same people who put our nation in jeopardy, will still be in charge.Doyl

So let me get this straight, you didn't vote for Cruz because he is not liked by the establishment? Because he can't make deals with them like Trump can?Should Trump be elected in November, I hope for all of our sake that you are correct, that someone who would take 4 companies into bankruptcy, and support big-spending politicians financially for favors, will somehow pay off the debt while building multi-billion dollar projects, and funding social-medicine (the government will pay for it). I don't share your confidence in this unproven individual any more than I did the other inexperienced guy 8 years ago.I sure hope his tax returns don't show contributions to Obama's PAC and Planned Parenthood or some of the mafia contractors I've been hearing about. Since he is perfectly aware that is the concern, he could just say that's not the case couldn't he? I mean its really all he needs to do.

Trump is a con man and it will all come out eventually. I'm so sad that you voted for him. I am distraught at my friends who have been deceived by this man,thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/271187-new-york-times-refusing-to-release-off-the-record-tape-of-trump-on

This anti-establishment sentiment is nonsense in my opinion. I disagree with your selection vehemently. However, I honestly don't think it matters who wins the Republican nomination. The party is embarrassing, fragmented, and unpopular right now. If Trump is the nominee.......a lot of Republicans will stay home. The same is true of Rubio....and probably Cruz. The Republican Party is in a no win situation...at least that's how I see it

He is conning American conservatives into thinking that he is one. Conservatives know you can't admire Planned Parenthood and be conservative. Conservatives don't believe the tax payer should fund mandated healthcare. Conservatives don't believe in union-style protectionism. Conservatives haven't supported Hillary Clinton for years. But yet he has taken many conservatives into his confidence, by definition, he's a con man. If you bankrupt a casino, you might be a con-man. He needs to release this tape: time.com/4242300/cruz-rubio-trumb-new-york-times/

If Trump is a con man, if he wins the Presidency and moves to Washington, he will be in the company of plenty of other con men. There are in my opinion, very few in DC who have clean hands. Can Trump win? I don't know since the Establishment has set out to destroy him. They haven't set out to destroy Obama. In fact, they (including the Repubs) have funded everything Obama has asked for.BUT THEY ARE TERRIFIED of Trump? What's up with that? Their terror says loudly that he may be just the guy to shake that place up. More and more of the same thing, brings more and more of the same results.I think their being upset, is exactly why Trump (or Cruz) is who we need to place there.Doyl

And Ted Cruz would certainly never misrepresent a journalistic report to harm another candidate, right? We are among the greats here at Acts. Eddie is a genius and rightful moral arbiter of us all. He is so high above us deceived ones. It makes his highness sad. From the bottom of our ignorant, depraved hearts.....thanks
