praisecathedralwc.com/I met Bishop Lennox Walker about ten years ago when we were both invited to serve on a committee at General Headquarters. I was immediately impressed by his heart for the Lord's church and his passion to extend the work into new areas.Bishop Walker is a pastor and an overseer in Eastern Canada. We need more people like him.In case you don't know him, here's some info from his website.Bishop Lennox Walker is the Administrative Bishop for Church of God in Ontario. Thirty-eight (3years ago after a near death and life altering incident, Bishop Walker gave his life to the Lord. He is a radical and unconventional speaker, known in both local and international circles for preaching dynamic, life changing and inspirational sermons. Without question, Bishop Walker seeks to advance the Kingdom of God by empowering God’s people around the globe. For those familiar with Bishop Walker’s leadership record, you know he has served in numerous positions in the Church of God, starting as a young Evangelist, travelling the hilly terrains of Clarendon, Jamaica. He was a brilliant student at Bethel Bible College in Jamaica, under the tutelage of Dr. Lindsay Arscott. Upon graduation he was assigned Pastor of Old Harbour and later West Prospect New Testament Church of God in Jamaica. After immigrating to Canada, Bishop Walker served as Assistant Pastor and Assistant Superintendent of Redemption International Faith Ministries and for five years, as Senior Pastor of East Toronto Church of God, now Grace Fellowship Church of God Ministries in Scarborough Ontario.Alongside his role as Administrative Bishop, Bishop Walker is currently the Senior Pastor of Praise Cathedral Worship Centre – the largest Church of God church in the Canada, where he has been ministering for over nineteen (19) years. He has served the Church of God in various capacities… District Overseer, MIP Coordinator, Regional Council Member, National Council Member, and also on the National Pastor's Advisory Council in Cleveland Tennessee. He currently serves on the Black Ministries Council for Church of God International in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Government of Canada in 2013, and in 2015 conferred with honorary Doctorate of Divinity from CICA for his distinctive leadership and exemplary work in community development.Bishop Walker is a visionary and his vision extends well beyond the church. Associating with him, you will realize that he has a deep rooted passion for young people and the elderly. He has travelled extensively around the world, positively impacting lives in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South America, the Caribbean, various parts of the United States and Canada, as he ministers the Gospel at crusades and conferences, and serving others on the mission-field.On a yearly basis Bishop Walker through Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, sponsors students at Bethel Bible College and offers numerous scholarships to those who struggle with funding their education, locally and internationally.A resident of the City of Mississauga, Lennox and Dorett have two daughters, three sons, and a daughter-in-law (Shawn, Chaunyce, Damar, Shamar, Lamar and Andreen) and a grandson, Elijah. Bishop Walker is a congenial leader with great compassion for others; a deeply embedded passion for the Call of God upon his life, which makes him cry easily equating him to the prophet Jeremiah. He loves politics and golfing and he appreciates the finer things in life. Bishop Walker, no doubt, is leaving a dynamic spiritual legacy that indeed will impact his children, the church, education and the political arenas.

I'm not sure this is robbing them of their blessing or reward. I agree with another post that we usually only vote for those we hear about in the camp meeting circuits. I like the idea of posting names so that I can go and find information on them. Personally, there have been some things happen in the Church of God that I don' t want to see happen again and the only way of making sure that does not happen is by making sure the same people do not get back into position. No offense intended to anyone but the COG needs to continue moving forward and embracing our up and coming leaders. I am tired of going to GA and electing people because of their last name or because they are familiar.

Dean,What do you mean by really getting the job done? What I mean is In their area of ministry the minister is excelling in their position to the point where you have heard about their growth or success. I think my request is fairly easy to comprehend as several have made mention of some excellent ministers in their area.My motive for this question is to ask about ministry leaders in our individual states who are excelling to the point where we as O.B.'s should consider using fresh leadership on the Ex Council & Ex Committee. When i see the list on some of the other threads of the presumptive nominees it shows me where we're both weak & strong. Do we grow & challenge ourselves by electing the same guys over & over?Is the CoG going in the right direction of numerical growth if we keep re-electing the same guys on the circuit? On the other side do we keep re-electing the same guys based on the performance record we've seen so far & we like the pace we're on?I for one would love to see a major shake up in Cleveland in terms of leadership. The shake up would include electing the PB & all the assistants from all areas of the U.S.Split the country up into 5 regions & one EC member has to be elected from each region. Currently the majority of guys serving on the EC or C18 are living East of the Mississippi & I would guess south of the Mason Dixon. It may sound like fair representation if you live inside that geographical bubble but it doesn't sound like it represents a national view. If most of our leadership lived west of the Rockies & their ministry experiences came from west coast based churches with our national HQ in Seattle, Washington would you feel like the CoG had your best interest? Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing ...introducing people to Jesus!

Dean,I meant no disrespect in asking what you meant by getting things done...I've not been on here much in the last couple of years, and just saw your post. I figured I knew what you meant by your question, was just asking to make sure- the older I get, the less I like to assume. There are several guys here in the Razorback State that love Jesus and are doing everything they can to advance His kingdom in the area they have been assigned. I don't know of a church in my area that is growing faster than the Rock of NEA- Terry Watson, pastor.
